CNC Workstation / Control Cabinet
Simply made to organize all components in one place and to enclose the Shopbot controls into a dust free environment. Add casters to the workstation to give it mobility, do make sure to get casters with a brake to avoid movement while running and to avoid connectors accidentally coming loose.
CNC Workstation / Control Cabinet Design
Designed to hold Shopbot CNC control box and computer next to each other on bottom shelf. Large drawer for bits, parts and accessories. Top shelf either for mouse & keyboard or other parts. Computer monitor simply stands on top of the cabinet. The design may need to be resized for height. I am 6′ 2″ (roughly 1.90m). I left a lot of room for the control box and computer which can be reduced. Do leave enough room for ventilation or place fans on the sizes (see vent holes shown in image). For me it works perfectly as a standing desk and organization for all components, parts and router bits.

CNC Workstation / Control Cabinet Finished & Assembled
Almost assembled, still needs to have drawers added and of course finished and painted. Door was just some scrap I had laying around so is not the most elegant looking door either. I did attach a magnetic strip to hold the more frequently used tools.
